"Four weeks of not smoking and today my asthma started with a nasty cough. The difference from being a smoker was very clear. My airways closed last month and put me in hospital on a nebuliser. This month, having another cold (which affects my asthma) was completely controlled. A few extra puffs of ventalin was enough. Amazing"

"I do not know what this witchcraft is that you have worked on me, but three weeks on and I still feel so healthy, strong, resilient and happy."

"About to have my 7 week anniversary on Monday of no smoking. It's weird. I don't associate me as ever having smoked - it feels completely alien to me. I'm not even disgusted now by the smell of smoke in town or pathways where smokers are in front of me... I just don't understand why they would want to do it! 7 weeks on Monday and not one craving!"

Steph, 29

"Just amazing! Picked up a cigarette pack with one left in it to throw in the bin. Strong feeling of nausea hit me and I couldn't take it out of the pack to snap it - just had to throw it away as it was. I am so excited that it could have such a physical effect... amazing... !"

Gina, 53

"My husband is shocked as I have not been spikey and I haven't even wanted a glass of wine tonight... I feel amazingly positive!"

Tracey, 49

"Not only have I passed my 6 week mark without sugar, but I've also made it through Easter!! Thank you"

Lisa, 39

"Wow! I have no desire to smoke! Got a pedometer and started wearing it this week. Have hit approx 12,000 - 15,000 steps a day walking. My aim was 10,000 a day.

Tesco keep automatically putting cigarettes into my shopping but they always knew me as a smoker. They apologise profusely each time and I laugh and tell them it's not an issue as I have no inclination, craving or withdrawal so temptation is zero.

I am bragging about you and have told everyone that will listen that I really did nothing to beat my lifelong addiction."

Jessica, 34

"Heros come in all shapes and sizes - mine right now is a pint sized, bleach blonde hypnotherapist with the most inviting personality of almost anyone I have ever met. She's also a genius, and gave me the magical tools to turn my back on sugar and embrace a new life without the shackles of an addiction.

It's early days - two weeks to be exact - but never in my life have I managed this long without the white stuff. Every diet I have ever been on (of which there are too many to list - today anyway) has included high levels of sugar, although still a significant improvement on the gluttony and bingeing of my non-diet self.

So two weeks for me is staggering - I am ridiculously grateful, proud and at peace."
